The Impacted Industries Fund

APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Applications will be made directly to CCF through online application or a fillable PDF document and submitted to designated grants@ccfkansascity.org. Printable applications or translated applications will be available on an as needed basis.

2. Application documents and directions will be provided online at www.ccfkansascity.org/opks-arpa and the City of Overland Park’s website.

3. CCF and the city will host a virtual application overview session via Zoom.

4. CCF staff will be available during designated office hours at the Myron Scafe Building, 8500 Antioch Road, for technical assistance.

5. Printed applications will be available by request at the City of Overland Park City Hall

6. Application documents will be available in English, Spanish, and Arabic languages.

7. CCF staff, with consultation from Overland Park staff, will review applications.

8. Applications will be reviewed based on criteria provided to CCF by the City of Overland Park.

TIMELINE

May 30th, 2022 – Application Period Opens

June 7th, 2022 – In-Person Application Assistance at Myron Scafe Building from 9 AM until 5 PM

June 13th, 2022 – In-Person Application Assistance at Myron Scafe Building from 9 AM until 2:30 PM

June 16th, 2022 – Virtual Application Assistance by appointment, book below

June 29th h, 2022 – In-Person Application Assistance at Myron Scafe Building from 8 AM until 10:30 AM

June 30th, 2022 – Application Period Closes

July 27th, 2022 – Eligibility and Prioritization Review Complete & Funding Recommendations Made to Overland Park, Kansas

August 5th, 2022 –Notifications Sent to Businesses (Notices will be sent to businesses who will and will not receive award). & Collection of Award Required Documents Begins

August 25th, 2022 – City Begins Making Payments to Businesses

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR A COMPLETE APPLICATION:

Each business will be required to submit the following documents:

1. A state issued photo ID of the business owner

2. Verification of the business’s address. This can include:

a. Copy of the business’ lease

b. Copy of the business’ mortgage statement

c. Property tax statement

3. Latest Quarterly Wage Report, Unemployment Tax Return or payroll statement

4. Profit and Loss Statement, or comparable financial document that shows revenue, expenses, and profit for at least two years.

5. NACIS Code

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR AWARD

If your business is selected for award, you will be required to submit the following information:

1. Your Unique Entity ID (UEI). The process to receive this alpha-numeric number can take up to two weeks. You will be given sufficient time to apply if you are awarded.

2. W-9 form for business

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

Grantees will have to sign a grant agreement that outlines their responsibilities for the funds. Below is a list of requirements the business owners must satisfy to remain in good standing with the grant program. Failure to complete program responsibilities can lead to penalties, including but not limited to, forfeiting of funds and ineligibility for future Overland Park small business grant programs.

1. Complete and submit quarterly report to confirm business is still operating for one year after awarded funds

2. Complete semiannual report program metrics up to one year after awarded funds.

3. Allow recoupment of misused funds

4. Document expenditures used to address identified need

5. Permit federal/local audits of funds

6. Keep records of expenditures for at least five years.

7. Identify other assistance and agree to repay duplicate assistance

Quarterly reporting will be due on the following dates:

1. January 15th, 2022

2. April 15th, 2023

3. July 15th, 2023

4. September 15th, 2023
